The sets for Fifty Shades Darker and Freed are critical to the story line. Ana and Christian spend a lot more time inside his Escala apartment and Ana is working many days at her workplace SIP. The sets which were built for Fifty Shades of Grey were stored and now are back at North Shore Studios. David Wasco and his wife worked extensively to design the sets for the first movie. Now it seems a new Set Decorator will be working with the many rooms inside Escala. It will be so interesting to see what changes will be made. We already know that Boca Do Lobo has provided some new pieces for the movies.
Carolyn Loucks is credited with many movies she has worked on. You can read more about her career on her website.
Here is a recent photo shared by E. L. James of inside North Shore Studios with production designer Nelson Coates and producer Dana Brunetti.
